The GW4 - 252(D)(W) outdoor high voltage disconnector is one of the most commonly used disconnect switches in the world owing to its simple but efficient design. It is composed of three poles and each pole comprises a base, two rotational support insulators, and a main blade moving horizontally.
The base of our disconnector is made of a square tube in which the turntables and bearing housings are installed. The turntable is supported by two roller bearings and the sealed bearing housing is filled up with grease, ensuring long service life. All steel parts are processed by hot-dip galvanizing.
The insulators our high voltage disconnector adopts are in conformity with IEC, DIN or ANSI specifications.
The main blade contains a U-shaped tube, in which the main contacts and the rotating contacts are installed. The main contact is made of silver-plated copper. The rotating contact comprises a silver-plated copper pin and a bronze housing. The silver-plated bronze balls, which are pressed against the aforementioned two parts by a stainless steel spring, ensure that the current is transferred from the pin into the housing. This contact structure is sealed and maintenance-free. The contacts are self-cleaning, making our isolation switch suitable for use in areas with harsh climatic conditions.
This outdoor high voltage disconnector can be equipped with earthing switches which are mounted on the left hand side or the right hand side or both sides. The grounding switch includes an aluminum tube, on both ends of which the silver-plated copper contacts are mounted.
A single pole or all three poles of the disconnect switch and/or earthing switches can be operated by a CJ6 motor operating mechanism or a CS14G or CS9-G manual operating mechanism.
Advantages
1. Cost-effective
2. Easy start-up and commissioning
3. Low operating torque
4. High short circuit carrying capacity
5. Almost maintenance-free due to the adoption of corrosion-resistant materials
