The nogging track is designed to provide support to the wall studs, preventing it from twisting when lining boards are being fitted. This component can be screwed or crimped to both stud flanges. Our 0.75bmt model has been checked and approved for use with 1.15bmt studs. A continuous stretch of nogging track can be fitted to the stud framing, in one length. Alternatively, individual segments may be cut from the track.
The 0.75bmt model is designed for compatibility with all stud-framed wall installations. Studs can be nailed or screwed into timber noggings. It is possible to fit heavy fixtures onto wall framing with the proper support from a custom-made track. In certain scenarios, a more economical design can be achieved with the application of additional nogging tracks. For instance, walls that are subject to elevated pressures are best fortified with extra support.
