Drywall Metal Stud

The drywall metal stud is part of our drywall framing system. Its light-steel design offers all the benefits of conventional flat-steel studs. The PittingStud series features a flat stud design with a knurled flange and reinforcing ribs. Knurling refers to a pattern of small ridges that is often formed on a flange to prevent screws from "walking". Knurling only forms on one side of the steel, allowing the stud to stay flat; it does not compromise the strength or thickness of the steel.

Pitting technology applies a reinforced ribbing over the web and flange of a stud. The added ribs provide extra durability, making the overall structure less prone to twisting. This effectively prevents the formation of "high-shoulders" when finishing a gypsum board. The PittingStud series utilizes flat steel, allowing it to be easily plumbed and marked. Minor adjustments can be made with laser levels, making the installation process identical to that of normal studs. This allows our product to be interchangeably used with conventional framing components. No extra training or special fasteners are required.

The drywall metal stud is available in both 25 EQ and 20 EQ gauge steel. Our company offers standard widths of 1-5/8" (162VS125), 2-1/2" (250VS125), 3-5/8" (362VS125), 4" (400VS125), and 6" (600VS125). Standard lengths are set at 10', 12', 14', and 16'.
