Monel Wire Mesh

Our Monel wire mesh mainly adopts the raw material of Monel 400 and Monel K500. It can be customized with special specification in compliance with the requirements of customers.

Monel 400 Alloy
The Monel 400 alloy adopted by our product can show excellent mechanical property from subzero temperature to the maximum service temperature of 1000℉. Its melting point is 2370℉ to 2460℉. The downside of the material is that it has low strength in annealing condition. Therefore, we strengthen the strength of the material through various tempers.

Features
1. Resistance to seawater and steam even at high temperature
2. Outstanding Resistance to fast flowing brackish water or seawater as well as stress corrosion cracking in most freshwater condition
3. Insusceptibility to the chloride induced stress corrosion cracking
4. Excellent performance against the neutral and alkaline salt as well as the alkalis
5. In particular immunity to the deaerated hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids
6. Some resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids under the condition of modest temperature and concentration (Generally, the material won’t be preferred for use in the environment with those acids.)

Monel K500 Alloy
Monel K500 is the precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy. Its corrosion resistance performance is the same as that of Monel 400 alloy. But Monel K500 has much stronger and greater strength and hardness. The reason for the excellent properties of the material is that the aluminum and titanium are added into the nickel-copper base material and that the mixed material is processed through thermal treatment for affecting the precipitation, namely the age hardening or aging.

Additionally, cold working ahead of the precipitation hardening can further strengthen the properties of the material. The Monel K500 alloy can keep its strength when the temperature is below 1200 ℉. The mechanical properties of ductility and toughness can be maintained only with the temperature no greater than 400 ℉. The melting point of the alloy ranges from 2400℉ to 2460℉.

Characteristics
1. The nickel-copper alloy is non-magnetic. It is immune to the acid gas environment.
2. The material is resistant to seawater with high flowing speed. Meanwhile, it is also anticorrosion in marine and chemical environment within a wide range from pure water to non-oxidizing mineral acids, salts and alkalis.
