High Voltage Shunt Capacitor Banks

1. Product Overview
The high voltage shunt capacitor banks are suitable for connecting in parallel with the power frequency (50 or 60 Hz) AC power systems whose rated voltage is 1kV or more. They are used to improve power factor, improve voltage quality, and reduce line loss.

2. Service Conditions
a. Installation site: indoor or outdoor
b. Altitude: ≤1000m, products adapting to high altitude can be provided according to user needs
c. Min. ambient temperature: -25℃, -40℃
d. Max. ambient temperature: 40℃, 45℃, 50℃, 55℃
e. Seismic intensity: ≤ Mercalli VIII
f. The installation site should have no harmful gas or vapor, no conductive or explosive dust, and no severe vibration.
g. When the capacitor is put into operation, the residual voltage of its terminal should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage.

3. Technical Parameters
a. Rated frequency: 50Hz/60Hz
b. Capacitance deviation: -5%~ 15%
c. Loss tangent (at rated voltage, at 20℃): ≤0.0005 (Excluding internal fuse)
d. Our shunt capacitor bank is allowed to run at 1.05 times the rated voltage for long periods. At 1.15 times the rated voltage, it is allowed to run for less than 30 minutes per 24 hours.
e. Our product is allowed to run at the steady-state overcurrent, the root mean square of which is 1.3 times the rated current, caused by high harmonics and steady-state overvoltage. For the capacitor whose capacitance has the largest positive deviation, the steady-state overcurrent is allowed to reach 1.5 times the rated current.
