Components
The ball mill is mainly made upof a cylinder, material feeding unit, discharging unit, gyre unit andtransmission mechanism (motor, reduction box, transmission gear, electriccontrol). The cylinder uses wear resisting liner plate inside for better wearresistance.
Operating Principle
The ball mill is partially filled with grinding balls and the materials tobe ground. It rotates around a horizontal axis, which causes the steel ballsfall back onto the materials to reduce their size.
Types
1. The ball mill can be divided into dry type and wet type accordingto materials it grinds.
2. It can be classified into grate type and overfall type according to different ways of discharging material.
