Typical hardcover books use a greyboard with thickness being 1.5mm- 3.0mm to make itscover.  The cover is usually full colorprinted.  The dust jacket which wrapsaround the hardcover is optional to a hardcover book.  Smyth sewn case binding is used to completethe book.  To protect the cover, extra varnish orlamination is used.  Extra coverfinishing, including spotUV, embossing, debossing, foiling, glittering andflocking are applied todecorate the outside of the hardcover book.
