Maintenance

 

1.  The speed reducer should be supplied with 20# gear oil to the extent that oil pointer can be seen at 25° chamfer degrees.  It must be oiled before use
2.  The 7216 fore bearing of the spindle needs lithium base grease. The lithium base grease should be completely changed with new oil during any major repair.
3.  The lead screw for angle adjustment, screw for adjusting depress device and bearing device, depress device, and slide guidepost should be directly oiled with lithium base grease.  They should be checked and re-oiled every week.
4.  The adjustment of spindle bearings.  When the spindle loosens, the operator should unfold the back cover of the spindle, loosen the lock washer and turn the nut clockwise.  After adjusting the spindle bearings to the proper position, the operator should lock the nut with the lock washer.
5.  The knife tool should be sharpened whenever blunt.  Only the fore part of the knife can be sharpened and it should be sharpened on surface-grinding machine. The maxim grinding quantity is 2mm.  The grinding quantity each  time should be within 0.5mm.  When the total grinding quantity is over 0.5mm, a washer should be filled, in line with the grinding quantity, between the end faces of knife tool and spindle and placed at the rear end face of the knife tool.
