1. Passive Central Solar Heating System
This passive central solar heating system makes use of the building structure to complete such functions of solar energy as heat collection, storage or release. The commonly used passive heating methods mainly include direct gain type, thermal storage wall type and additional sunspace type.
The direct gain type system can make both ground and wall hit by sunlight become thermal storage structure, or it can directly attract the sunlight into the room. During the day, this room is used to store solar energy. At night these surfaces can dissipate heat. Considering that this type system obtains limited solar energy, the whole building must provide great thermal insulation properties so as to make this system useful.
The thermal storage wall aims to store the solar radiant heat entering the room in winter. When the temperature drops at night, this wall gradually releases heat by convection. The wall behind a layer of glass faces the sun. When the sunlight passes through the glass and hits the wall, the wall begins to store heat and at the same time the air between the glass and the wall is heated. The rising hot air enters the room through the opening in the top of wall. Meanwhile, it drives the indoor cold air to enter the air cavity from the opening below the wall. Then, the continuous circulation makes the indoor temperature increase. This kind of system is called Trombe Wall, which is simple, economical and practical. Also, it can be easily built and provide wide applications.
Additional sunspace type system is similar to the thermal storage type, but it changes the glass curtain wall into the sunspace. By utilizing the thermal storage wall and the hot air of sunspace, it can effectively accumulate the solar energy. The wall in sunspace can open the window to guide the hot air to the room. This type system has simple structure, which makes small influence on the building facades. In China, the passive solar house heating system can save 60% to 70% energy. Per square meter of building area can reduce the coal by 20 to 40kg yearly. Thus, this system can offer great economic and social benefits.
2. Active Central Solar Heating System
By adoption of the solar collector, our active central solar heating system can absorb the solar energy for the heat source of heating system. It can provide this system with low temperature hot water. Through the indoor part of heating system, the indoor heating process can be accomplished to make the indoor temperature meet the design requirements.
For instance, the solar water source heat pump system can be divided into three parts, including solar collector system, water source heat pump system, as well as hot water supply system. It serves to make the fire pool become water supply system, so as to solve both intermittency and instability of solar power. In most areas of China, the solar water source heat pump system is commonly used to provide wonderful energy saving effect. Especially for those areas that have large amounts of annual solar radiation and high rate of winter sunshine, this system is an ideal choice.
Therefore, our customer can accord with the characteristics of two different heating methods to choose what they want. The passive heating way can be applicable to the regions where the outdoor temperature is high. In those areas that features hot summer and cold winter, the active and passive types can be combined for use.
