Conventional strand pelletizing is the most widely known method for pelletizing strands. It standard procedure is to manually grip the strands emerging in parallel rows from a strand die, pull them through a water bath over an air knife and feed them into a pelletizer.

Conventional palletizing system requires the operator’s great skill during start-up and personal attention during operation, because breaking strands or unsteady melt flow could lead to pelletizing failure.
