Our shale (coal gangue) backfill roof support, having obtained two patents, is suitable for coal seams with the average thickness of 5 meters and with parting. The working process is as follows. Firstly, excavate the coal seam above the parting. Secondly, reversely pull the scraper conveyor and excavate the middle gangue. The gangue is then conveyed to the goaf by another conveyor. Gangue from other working faces can also be filled to the worked out section. Hence, eco-friendly mining of gangue not lifted out of the mine is realized. Meanwhile, mining efficiency is improved and mining cost is reduced.
