1. Product Overview
a. The GW6A high voltage disconnector is a scissor type outdoor three-phase AC isolation switch with vertical fractures. It is used for the switching of high voltage lines with no load. It is also applicable to the electric isolation of high voltage busbar and high voltage electrical equipment like circuit breaker, which are to be maintained, from the charged high voltage lines. It conforms to the standards of GB1985 and IEC62271-102.
b. The GW6A high voltage disconnector includes three monopoles and each monopole has a single column structure. The isolation switch is composed of the base, post insulator, operating insulator, main switch, and the static contact of main switch. The post insulator and operating insulator are mounted on the base and the main switch is mounted on top of the insulators. The static contact of main switch is mounted on the overhead busbar.
c. The main switch has a dual arm folding structure. When breaking, the switch is folded downwards, forming an insulation fracture in the vertical direction with the static contact.
d. The disconnector can be easily configured with the JW7 earthing switch. A mechanical interlock is set between the two switches.
e. Through the connecting rods between the poles, three-pole mechanical linkage can be achieved (three-pole electrical linkage for the GW6A-363 and GW6A-550 types of disconnectors). The main switch and earthing switch of the GW6A-126 and GW6A-145 are both equipped with the manual operating mechanism. Electric operating mechanisms can also be adopted as per user requirements. The main switch of GW6A-252 is equipped with the electric mechanism and the earthing switch with manual one. The earthing switch can also be equipped with the electric mechanism according to user needs. GW6A-363 and GW6A-550 are equipped with electric operating mechanisms.


2. Main Features
a. With a clamp structure, the moving contact is formed integrally with the moving contact rod, which is beautiful in appearance and reliable in electric conduction.
b. The main switch transmission case adopts a fully enclosed structure, thus completely solving the problems of bird nesting in the transmission case and transmission failure caused by the environmental factors.
c. Adopting the compression spring structure, the balance spring is difficult to be pulled off even if it is under a state of stress for a long time. The balance spring guide rod adopts a slider mechanism, which is easy and flexible to operate.
d. The contact clamp spring is mounted on the main transmission connecting rod. It uses a self-compression positioning structure to ensure reliable closing of the disconnector. Meanwhile, this structure ensures sufficient contact pressure, which then guarantees reliable electric conduction.
e. The main transmission connecting rod drives through a gear train and the transmission angle is 183 degrees. The rod passes the dead point in both opening and closing, ensuring that the disconnector keeps good stability under wind, electrodynamic force, and other external forces.
f. The transmission connecting rod adopts a double-head screw adjustable mechanism which facilitates the commissioning of opening and closing the isolation switch.
g. The conducting joint adopts copper soft connection. The whole conducting loop, expect the moving and static contacts, adopts fixed connection to ensure reliable electric conduction.
h. All axle hole joints in the main conducting loop are equipped with insulation composite bushings, ensuring that the spring, shaft pin or other component does not shunt so as to make sure no over-heating phenomena arising in the conducting loop.
i. The earthing switch adopts a two-step operation structure. The patent number is ZL200720023108.8.
