I. Product Overview
The LW-550/Y4000-63 outdoor high voltage SF6 dead tank circuit breaker independently developed by our company is applicable to the control and protection of 550kV transmission and distribution system. It can also be used as an interconnecting circuit breaking device. Adopting self-energy type arc extinguishing, our product is equipped with the HMB-8.3 hydraulic spring mechanism from ABB Company. This mechanism acts stably and reliably with small operating power required.
Our product conforms to the standards of GB7674-1997 and IEC60517.
II. Main Features
1. This LW-550/Y4000-63 outdoor high voltage SF6 dead tank circuit breaker adopts the dual-arc-chute structure and three-phase electrical linkage. It can reclose in all phases or in one or two phases. In addition, our product has advantages of short arcing time, long electrical life, low operating noise, and strong shock resistance.
2. Our product adopts the "air compressing plus heat expansion" type self-energy arc extinguishing method. The energy of the arc itself is used to increase the pressure of the SF6 gas inside the air cylinder, so as to increase the arc blowing pressure of the circuit breaking device when the arc current crosses zero. This method can not only ensure good breaking capacity but also reduce the operating power required for breaking and thus reduce the burden on the operating mechanism. The arc chute our product adopts has been improved on the basis of the traditional ones. There is no breaking dead zone and our product has excellent breaking performance in all breaking sections. The rated short circuit breaking current is 63kA and the total breaking time is 2 cycles.
3. The LW-550/Y4000-63 outdoor high voltage SF6 dead tank circuit breaker is equipped with the HMB-8 type hydraulic spring mechanism from ABB Company. This mechanism acts stably and reliably. Its mechanical life reaches 6,000 times and little maintenance is needed. There are more than 20,000 pieces of the HMB-8 type hydraulic spring mechanism serving in the world now. According to the statistics of CIGRE, this mechanism has far lower fault rate than its counterparts.
4. The breaker body and the operating mechanism both are modularized. So the product structure is simplified and the operational reliability is improved. Meanwhile, maintenance workload is reduced.
