The compound surge arrester is used to protect the power systems from being damaged by the atmospheric over-voltage and operating over-voltage. Our product conforms to the standards of GB 11032-2000, JB/T 8952-2005, and IEC 60099-4:2006.

3. Product Structure and Working Principle
The internal core component of our compound surge arrester is the metal oxide varistors with excellent nonlinear volt - ampere characteristic, and there is no clearance between the varistors. The housing is integrally molded, ensuring that the internal components are free from the influence of the external environment.

When overvoltage occurs in the system, the non-linear metal-oxide varistors present low resistance. They absorb the over-voltage energy and make the latter reduce in magnitude greatly, thus protecting the power transmission equipment. When the system runs normally, the non-linear metal-oxide varistors present high resistance, so only a microampere order current passes through the arrester, isolating the system from the earth and ensuring normal operation of the system.
