1. Product Overview
The TYD-35~220 series of capacitor voltage transformer is used in the power system with the rated frequency of 50Hz for voltage measurement, electric energy measurement, relay protection, automatic monitoring, and on-gird synchronization. It can also function as a coupling capacitor in power line carrier devices. It complies with the GB/T4703-2007 "Capacitor Voltage Transformer" standard.
2. Product Structures
The product adopts a stacking type structure: the capacitive divider is installed above the electromagnetic unit, which features small floor space. A metal expander is mounted on the capacitive divider to compensate temperature-induced changes in oil level. The electromagnetic unit has an oil-immersed structure and it is enclosed inside the product. An observation window is set on the oil tank for the observation of oil level changes. On the bottom of the oil tank, there is a fully enclosed metal oil drain valve, through which the transformer oil at the lowest part of the tank can be released.

4. Main Features
a. The capacitive voltage divider is installed above the electromagnetic unit. This structure has many advantages, including facilitating transportation and installation, bringing convenience to hand-over test and preventive test, measurement error little affected by temperature.
b. When the 35~220KV capacitor voltage transformer runs at the voltage of 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5 or 1.9 times the rated voltage, the electromagnetic unit will not produce low-frequency resonance. This excels relevant provisions in current national standards.
c. Due to the adoption of a special design, the low-frequency electromagnetic resonance over-voltage is eliminated fundamentally and the insulation level of the electromagnetic unit is improved.
d. Our 35~220KV capacitor voltage transformer has good transient response characteristics and the residual voltage is less than 5% of the initial value. This is superior to current national standards.
e. The lightning arrester at the high voltage side of the intermediate transformer is removed. This improves product operation reliability and reduces the maintenance workload.
