2 Ton Electric Arc Furnace

The 2 ton electric arc furnace is a kind of dedicated smelting equipment used to smelt ordinary steel, high quality carbon steel and various alloy steels, taking electric arc as the hot source and scrap steel as the crude material. It is loaded upwards with its furnace lid unscrewed. And the hoisting of the electrode is automatically regulated by means of a torque motor. Also, the water-cooled cables of the electric arc furnace feature large cross-sections. Both the tilting of furnace and hoisting and rotation of the furnace lid are conducted by the hydraulic system. The electrical system is PLC controlled.
