Components
The doubleroll crusher mainly consists of two rolls, rollbearings, compression device, adjustment device and drive unit.

Operating Principle
The double roll crusher crushes using compression. Tworolls are rotatingabout a shaft and material is drawn into the roll gap by theirrotating motion, forming a friction angle between the rolls and the material. Thetwo rolls force theparticle between their rotating surfaces into the smaller gap area. Thiscompressive force causes the material to be fractured. The gap between the rolls is adjustable,which is up to thesize of product desired.
